What is Reiki?
Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of energy work that is relaxing, rejuvenating, and promotes self-healing and self-improvement. The practice is based on the principles of the Usui System of Reiki healing — an ancient Japanese technique administered with the gentle laying of the hands on or just above the body. The Reiki practitioner tunes into the universal life force energy around each person's body, known as the aura or qi (chi) energy, and subtly supports its return to a state of balance.
What to Expect with Reiki Sessions
Traditional Reiki practice is offered by energy practitioners who are educated, trained, and attuned to the system of Reiki healing. Reiki goes where it is needed and practitioners do not control, direct, or manipulate the energy flow in any way. In fact, practitioners remain open channels and without judgment allow Reiki to flow naturally.
